Role Overview

This exciting opportunity allows you to work with leading automotive clients worldwide, providing support, training, and demonstrations on a wide range of our products to customers. The role involves troubleshooting issues, resolving customer inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our robotic and software solutions. Working within the Sales and Support arm of the business, the Applications Support Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and sales personnel, to deliver exceptional customer support and contribute to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Support and Issue Resolution: Provide technical support to customers via various channels regarding our robotic systems, including installation, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting. This includes proactive support to help eliminate future potential problems that could arise.
  2. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Analyse, diagnose and solve technical problems reported by customers related to ABD's Track Test Systems product offering.
  3. Remote and On-Site Support: Support customers remotely by guiding them through troubleshooting procedures and providing step-by-step instructions; there is a requirement to travel globally to help resolve issues, train customers and perform demonstrations.
  4. Training and Education: Conduct customer training sessions to enhance their understanding of robotic systems and maximise the utilisation of the products.
  5. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and expectations.
Requirements
  1. Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with a solid understanding of robotic systems and staying up to date on industry trends.
  2. Knowledge of programming languages commonly used by AB Dynamics.
  3. Familiarity with sensors, actuators, control systems, and related technologies.
  4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  5. Strong documentation and knowledge management skills to create and maintain support materials.
  6. Willingness to travel globally to customer sites for on-site support and delivery of training, as required, is a key expectation of this role.
