Job Overview

Draper Tools, a family-owned business with a rich history, is seeking a Part-time Sales Ledger Clerk to join our Credit Control department. As a Sales Ledger Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all accounts are paid to their agreed terms and resolving any invoice disputes in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for accounts within a section of the sales ledger.
  • Resolve queries and disputes to enable payment to be made.
  • Chase overdue debts through various communication channels.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of larger accounts, including uploading documents into customer portals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external sales staff regarding accounts within the ledger.
  • Produce and maintain credit note request documentation within our internal system.
  • Allocate cash receipts daily and ensure accurate filing of documents.
  • Assist with posting cash receipts into the AS400 system when necessary.

Requirements

  • Experience in credit control or sales ledger teams is preferred, but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Familiarity with AS400 is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Reliability, conscientiousness, and a strong work ethic.
