About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Adult Inpatient Mental Health Service in Birmingham. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessments, interventions, and therapeutic programs to patients with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and other evidence-based approaches.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement service-wide initiatives and policies.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the service.
  • Manage a clinical caseload and prioritize tasks to ensure timely and effective delivery of services.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a Psychologist.
  • Experience in delivering individual and group therapy sessions, including 1-2-1 and group work.
  • Experience working with Adult mental health populations, including those with complex needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
