Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Robotic and Urological Oncology Fellow at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. This is an excellent opportunity to receive comprehensive training in urological robotics and work with a multidisciplinary team to provide expert care for our patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced robotic surgeons and participate in a structured training syllabus, including online, simulator, and dry lab training. This will provide the opportunity to gain accreditation in robotic surgery and develop expertise in urological surgery.

Responsibilities
  1. Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care for urological patients
  2. Liaise with nurses, junior doctors, patients, relatives, and senior medical staff to ensure seamless care delivery
  3. Attend and participate in ward rounds as scheduled
  4. Take part in rostered out-of-hours emergency work
  5. Attend educational and multidisciplinary sessions to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in urological surgery
  6. Contribute to audit and research activities to improve patient outcomes
  7. Teach medical students and contribute to the development of junior doctors
  8. Cooperate with personnel department to monitor hours of work and other personnel issues
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • Qualifications demonstrating proficiency in written and spoken English language
  • Evidence of experience in urological surgical oncology at a middle-grade or registrar level
