Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee large-scale trade shows, managing booth spaces ranging from standard kiosks to expansive 30X30+ configurations.
  • Conduct thorough research on trade shows, conferences, and industry events to ensure participation in strategically beneficial opportunities that enhance Rackspace's return on investment.
  • Coordinate all event logistics, including venue research, booking event dates, securing room blocks, arranging meeting spaces, organizing client dinners, and managing guest registrations and lists.
  • Explore promotional opportunities, vendor partnerships, and marketing materials to generate innovative ideas and implement effective promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures as directed.
  • Serve as a consultant to various departments in the planning and execution of smaller events, meetings, dinners, happy hours, and sales events.
  • Provide guidance on general seminar schedules and locations to managers and field sales teams to assist in finalizing comprehensive marketplace coverage.
  • Facilitate the development, training, onboarding, and mentoring of new hires.
  • Manage and oversee all logistics and execution related to the company's participation in events, including booth design, material preparation, collaboration with show management, labor unions, city permits, and audiovisual arrangements.
  • Operate with general supervision while exercising independent decision-making authority.
