About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join Aon's Climate Analytics team in London as a Climate Research Analyst. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing solutions to our current risk models to account for climate change, working across Aon to deliver climate analytics and help the business understand the impacts of climate change, and engaging with clients to deliver our climate analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Climate Model Analysis: Analyze climate model data, as well as observation data, as part of specific projects investigating the impact of climate change.
  • Risk Model Development: Run our risk models and adjust them to account for climate change.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Produce reports and presentations summarizing the key results and presenting these to clients.
  • Academic Engagement: Stay up to date on the latest academic publications on climate science through academic engagements.
  • Market Research: Keep up to date with new solutions available within the market.
What You'll Need
  • Climate Science Expertise: A deep understanding of climate science, models, and academic work.
  • Programming Skills: Programming abilities (R/Python) that allow for the analysis of climate data.
  • Communication Skills: An ability to translate complex academic work and analytics to those without a scientific background.
  • Teamwork: A willingness to work as part of a team delivering a range of solutions, as well as responding to client requests.
