About the Team

Your Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team and advance your career. The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is tasked with providing forward-looking financial insights and scenario evaluations to support our ambitious growth objectives. They also produce critical management information and financial analyses for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to guide decision-making and offer valuable business insights.

In partnership with the Head of FP&A, you will oversee the business's budgeting and planning processes, assess operational efficiency, and engage in business partnering with sales, capital markets, legal, and marketing.

  • Develop and maintain the business forecasting model and re-forecasting processes, staying updated with new product launches, investors, and strategies.
  • Conduct scenario analyses using the forecasting model to inform business decisions and evaluate the effects of pricing adjustments or stress scenarios.
  • Create insightful and concise discussion papers for the Executive Committee.
  • Prepare and review essential management information, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Formulate the annual budget utilized by the business to monitor performance and manage operational expenditures.
  • Support and critically assess the commercial decisions made by the business.
  • Engage in special ad-hoc projects as required, assisting the Head of FP&A.

Required Qualifications

  • Newly Qualified Accountant (ICAEW or equivalent) with robust analytical and technical capabilities.
  • Experience in an FP&A or business partnering role, generating financial analyses and forecasting information.
  • Exceptional proficiency in MS Excel, including VBA, automation, and macros, with a strong ability to manipulate data from diverse sources.
  • A methodical and logical approach to problem-solving, capable of interpreting both financial and non-financial implications of commercial decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent influencing, verbal, and written communication skills, with confidence in engaging with all levels of seniority within the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Adaptive Insights, Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Netsuite & Tableau, including Excel and Power Query.
  • Knowledge of financial services and prior experience in secured property lending.
