About the Job

In this pivotal role, you will support the Head of HR and Volunteer Services in providing a high-quality operational HR service across the organisation to employees, line managers, and trustees.

The successful candidate will be an HR generalist with the ability to oversee our day-to-day HR processes. From attracting and recruiting potential candidates, to the provision of support, encouraging engagement, developing our people and their wellbeing, and how we recognise and reward the amazing work of our colleagues across the organisation.

You will also be involved in delivering projects and new initiatives that align to our People Plan, provide line management to three members of the HR team, and be the first point of contact for all employee relations issues.

This is a rewarding opportunity to be an integral member of a friendly and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high-quality operational HR service across the organisation
  • Oversee day-to-day HR processes, including recruitment, support, engagement, and wellbeing
  • Deliver projects and new initiatives that align to our People Plan
  • Provide line management to three members of the HR team
  • Be the first point of contact for all employee relations issues
Requirements

You will have excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder management skills, have some experience of working within a similar HR role including line management of a small team, and be able to demonstrate your ability to adapt and manage difficult situations.

You will also be an Associate member of the CIPD, have a comprehensive understanding of current UK employment law and best practice, and experience of managing complex employee relations cases.
