We are seeking a talented Hydraulic Engineer to become a part of our dynamic and collaborative Modelling Team. This role is ideal for individuals with a robust academic foundation and practical experience in flood risk evaluations and hydraulic analysis.

The successful candidate will possess proficiency in utilizing Flood Modeller and Tuflow software, with prior experience in a UK-based consultancy that specializes in hydraulic engineering. Familiarity with project management and residing in the South West region will be advantageous.

This position entails engaging in a diverse range of projects for both public and private sector clients, encompassing residential developments, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, flood mitigation initiatives, and natural flood management schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hydraulic modelling utilizing Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
  • Execute flood risk assessments, consequence evaluations, and nutrient neutrality analyses.
  • Conduct hydrological studies.
  • Participate in natural flood management, wetland restoration, and ecological rewilding projects.
  • Develop flood risk mapping and estimation techniques.
  • Assist team members and ensure timely project delivery within budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with clients and regulatory bodies to identify and develop new opportunities.
