We present a distinctive opportunity for an emerging Safety professional to assist us in cultivating a 'Safe Culture' throughout our Brewery and Support Office.
The position of Brewery and Tenanted Safety Advisor is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about two primary safety domains: Health & Safety and Fire Safety. This role allows you to share your passion and motivation to influence our teams while advancing your career.
As an integral member of our compact yet highly effective Safety Team, which consists of three members including yourself, you will work closely with internal stakeholders from various departments such as Property, Engineering, Production, and Tenanted operations.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to our safety policies and procedures through effective communication and the organization of safety training programs.
You will support the People Leaders in each department and our Tenanted Pubs by conducting investigations following accidents or incidents, advising on corrective actions post-audit, and collectively motivating everyone to uphold a safe working environment.

- Full-time working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing support to the broader safety team and collaborate with all Brewery and Support Office stakeholders to promote a best-practice safety culture
- Advise People Leaders on prioritizing, enhancing, and completing corrective actions based on daily observations, internal audits, and third-party inspections
- Assist the Safety Team in developing and implementing safety protocols, including Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work (SSOWs)
- Work in conjunction with the Facilities Manager to ensure continuous compliance with statutory requirements across the Brewery and Support Office
- Support the formulation and execution of new safety policies and systems
- Foster collaborative interactions to continually enhance the company's safety systems
- Maintain confidential safety files for the Brewery and Support Office
- Monitor and influence compliance in all safety areas
- Accurately document all relevant statutory compliance items
- Guide People Leaders and Tenanted pubs in processing and recording accidents, incidents, and near misses
- Expand knowledge of Health and Safety and Fire Safety legislation relevant to our operations
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Safety Manager
The Ideal Candidate:
- Level 3 Health & Safety qualification is preferred, or a strong desire to become qualified
- Previous experience in safety within the manufacturing sector is advantageous
- Attentive and skilled in identifying and addressing hazards promptly
- Passionate about promoting a safety-oriented culture with the confidence to lead key initiatives
- Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to safety
- Approachable with effective communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and possess data analytical skills
- Organized and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
