Key Responsibilities – Principal Design Engineer

  • Deliver Transmission & Distribution protection and control systems, collaborating with end-customers across various sectors.
  • Provide pre-sales support to sales and proposal teams, assisting project managers and commercial teams to meet project targets and scope.
  • Act as the technical lead for protection and control on the UK Transmission and Distribution network, offering innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with the latest policies and standards in all solutions provided.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and uphold the highest quality standards.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving, fault-finding, and analytical skills.
  • Contribute technical insights to Sales and Proposals departments.

Key Skills and Experience – Principal Design Engineer

  • Essential experience with National Grid delivery and specifications/standards.
  • A minimum qualification of HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, complemented by extensive experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industry.
