Job Summary

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and skilled Education Support Professional to join our team at a wonderful co-educational school in South Ockendon. This role provides an excellent opportunity for interested individuals to gain classroom experience and contribute to the development of young learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside teachers to support the learning and development of students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in creating and implementing individualized education plans that address students' specific needs, ensuring their academic and personal growth.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment, fostering a culture of mutual respect and trust.
  • Monitor and provide regular feedback to students, encouraging them to reach their full potential and develop essential life skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies to support students with diverse needs.

Requirements

  • Possess a Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2 or 3) or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
  • Be ambitious to work within the education sector, with a passion for supporting students and contributing to their academic and personal growth.
