POSITION SUMMARY

As a Lead Electrical Systems Engineer, you will leverage your expertise and professional background as a vital contributor to the Electrical design team within a renowned engineering organization. This team is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge engineering designs and solutions for Wireline Systems and Wellhead Pressure Control Equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction. Under the mentorship of the Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for generating innovative solutions for hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical system designs, utilizing advanced CAE tools throughout all stages of project development, from initial proposals to final execution.

Success in this role requires a solid understanding of the commercial aspects of engineering decisions, meticulous attention to detail, effective collaboration with team members, and a strong commitment to meeting client-driven demands with profitable solutions. A comprehensive awareness of contemporary manufacturing technologies and practices is also essential.

Your focus will be on addressing the needs of both internal and external customers, serving as the primary contact for technical issues on assigned projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Utilize technical expertise to design and develop tailored, customer-focused solutions.
  • Conduct Electrical Engineering design, analysis, testing, and validation as necessary.
  • Lead design projects with minimal oversight, ensuring all designs are efficient, cost-effective, and completed within budget constraints.
  • Prepare, review, and authorize engineering documentation (drawings, technical illustrations, manuals, reports, etc.) in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Engage in sales contract evaluations, internal design review sessions, and client discussions, prioritizing customer service and commercial considerations.
  • Draft Technical Requisitions for third-party design assessments or validations, ensuring deliverables align with client and contractual requirements.
  • Develop and oversee testing programs and factory acceptance tests to confirm design validity.
  • Thoroughly implement Engineering Change procedures, addressing and resolving engineering inquiries promptly.
  • Stay informed about industry advancements to integrate potential new concepts into designs and provide support to other departments and business units as required.
  • Travel for client engagements and offer site installation, commissioning, and testing assistance as necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:
  • BEng (Hons) degree or equivalent in Electrical or a related engineering discipline (e.g., Electronic, Mechatronic)
  • Minimum 2:1 degree classification (verification of qualification required during the interview)
  • Experience in a comparable role
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation and schematics
  • Expertise in designing and troubleshooting electromechanical systems
  • Strong grasp of engineering documentation, schematics, and ISO9001 standards
  • Proficient in Eplan or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Desirable:
  • Experience leading Electrical design projects within multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of the Energy Sector, particularly Wireline Intervention and completion techniques
  • Experience with Wireline winches, masts, and related product designs
  • Proficiency in Electrical systems design
  • Experience preparing detailed technical documentation in compliance with European Regulations
