We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle DBA to join our team at Lancashire County Council. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing lead technical expertise in a specialist technical area, predominantly Oracle OCI Cloud on the Databases team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain databases within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including patching and upgrades, backup and recovery, cloning, and maximum availability.
  • Develop, test, and implement backup and recovery plans including high availability across sites.
  • Implement robust OCI database security measures.
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues in OCI.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, with expertise both on-premises and OCI.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in OCI database security, performance tuning, and monitoring.
