Job Title: Senior Associate - Education Disputes Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our dynamic and growing team, specializing in Education Disputes and Student Issues. As a key member of our Public Law Disputes Team, you will be responsible for advising clients on a wide range of matters, including Disability and SEN law, Education Disputes, and Student Mental Health Issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acting for clients in Education Disputes, including Universities, Oxbridge Colleges, and Local Authorities
  • Providing expert advice on Disability and SEN law, including SEND Tribunal cases and advocacy
  • Advising on Student Mental Health Issues and complaints to the Office of Independent Adjudicator
  • Litigation support to planning teams and acting for Developers and Local Authorities
  • Commercial disputes, including acting for clients challenging Government decisions and advising on Disputes with Rural Payment Agency
Requirements:
  • Experience of SEND work and Tribunals, High Court Litigation, and Commercial disputes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
  • Excellent client relationship skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting client deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work to ensure client deadlines are always met
