Job Title: Senior Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our team at Birketts. As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients, working closely with our lawyers and other professionals to provide expert advice and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing strategic advice to clients on a range of legal matters, including SEN advice and SEND Tribunal cases.
  • Managing and supervising junior lawyers, trainees, and paralegals, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent client service.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Contributing to the development of our team's expertise and knowledge, staying up-to-date with changes in the law and best practices.
  • Participating in business development activities, identifying new opportunities and helping to grow our client base.
Requirements:
  • At least 6 years of post-qualification experience, gained in a strong regional or City firm or specialist/niche practice.
  • Excellent client service delivery skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience of SEND work and Tribunals, High Court Litigation, and other relevant legal areas.
  • A flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
