Financial Accountant

Paul Mitchell Associates is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Leicester. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the fixed-asset register, preparing and posting monthly depreciation, and agreeing to P&L and balance sheet.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain fixed-asset register, including additions and disposals, and prepare and post monthly depreciation.
- Agree monthly payroll nominal report and post journal.
- Assist in month-end reporting, preparation of statutory accounts, and audit packs for various businesses.
- Assist with monthly P&L reviews, budgets, and forecasts.
- Prepare detailed monthly P&L and balance sheet reports.
- Prepare cashflow statements and control expenditure and cash flow for various companies.
- Manage credit limits.
- Qualified or Part-Qualified ACCA, CIMA, AAT, or Qualified by Experience.
- Demonstrable experience in accounts preparation, knowledge of VAT rules, and advanced knowledge of Sage 50.
- Knowledge of Payroll and CIS would be advantageous.
- Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management.
- Numerate, analytical, with attention to detail.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and ability to achieve deadlines.
- Appointment Type: Permanent.
- Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 (subject to experience).
- Hours: Full-Time.
