Job Summary:
Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work one-on-one with pupils in the classroom and utilize the outdoor space to create a supportive learning environment.
- Lead small group interventions to help pupils meet their academic potential.
- De-escalate challenging situations and provide emotional support to pupils.
- Liaise with senior staff to monitor pupil progress and contribute to the school's overall goals.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with special educational needs.
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils who struggle to engage in lessons.
