Lead Financial Strategist

Company Overview: Severn Glocon Ltd is a prominent manufacturer and provider of high-quality valve solutions tailored for the energy sector.
About the Role: We are seeking a Lead Financial Strategist to oversee the finance operations across our UK facilities, ensuring the timely delivery of management accounts. This role will support the UK Financial Controller in maintaining the integrity of accounting records while identifying avenues for efficiency and enhancement in reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the UK Financial Controller, assisting in the management and comprehension of essential financial metrics.
- Supervise the transactional finance team, providing mentorship and accountability for their performance.
- Prepare and manage schedules for Liquidated Damages and warranties, collaborating closely with the business to communicate risks and opportunities.
- Oversee the preparation of Profit and Loss accounts.
- Conduct Balance Sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and monthly journal entries.
- Maintain the fixed asset register.
- Handle intercompany accounting, including the issuance of monthly invoices and reconciliations.
- Prepare, review, and submit monthly payroll data.
- Ensure accurate accounting for foreign offices and coordinate funding requirements.
- Support the Financial Controller with various reporting tasks.
- Collaborate with other finance team members, providing assistance as needed.
Qualifications:
- CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant with experience in manufacturing or a related field.
- Possess strong technical management accounting skills with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of financial processes and controls.
- Exhibit advanced Excel and IT proficiency.
