Job Description:
The Tender Engineer role will join our team in the Venterra Group Geoscience service line, employed by Ordtek and based in our Hethel, Norwich office. The successful candidate will develop competitive bids for projects, focusing on the construction and renewable energy sectors. Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing tender documents to formulate competitive and compliant bids
- Developing and presenting persuasive proposals and presentations
- Representing the company at industry events to seek new business opportunities
- Overseeing the proposal creation workflow to ensure timely submission
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners to consolidate data for cohesive tender responses
- Refining proposal terms to ensure compliance and protection
- Handling procurement activities, including prequalification questionnaires and registration of interest
- Conducting research and analysis to inform client interactions and risk assessments
- Managing the sales database and tracking business opportunities
Requirements:
- Proven excellence in producing written documentation with exceptional attention to detail
- Outstanding organizational skills and superior time management abilities
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, demonstrating advanced computer skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and diligent with a track record of prioritizing effectively
- Ability to perform under pressure and consistently meet challenging deadlines
Desired Experience:
- A robust interest in and knowledge of the construction and renewable energy sectors
- Experience within a commercial setting, particularly in sales, operations, or contract management in the offshore industry
Education/Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Business Management or Administration, Project Management, Marketing, or Engineering
Additional Requirements:
Candidates must have their own transport due to the rural location of the office.
