Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Holiday Inn Peterborough - Valor Hospitality. As a key member of our food and beverage operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food and beverage service are provided to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain control measures to ensure that food and beverage costs, productivity, labor costs, and operating supply costs for the outlet are in line with budget.
  • Carry out duty management shifts according to business needs and participate in departmental meetings to review progress towards achievement of business plan goals.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the overall food and beverage operation, administration, marketing, and promotion of the outlet, and be responsible and accountable for its profitability and revenue generation.
  • Ensure clear communication with the Food and Beverage Manager, Head Chef, Conference and Events Manager, and Operations Manager.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts for restaurant, bar, and room service.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills with experience of implementing and maintaining control measures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and training skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work a range of shifts and days, including evenings and weekends.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service.
