Senior Statistical Geneticist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Statistical Geneticist to join our team at the University of Cambridge. As a key member of the Genomics and Bioinformatics Core, you will play a crucial role in providing analytical and data management support to research groups within the Metabolic Research Laboratories.

The successful candidate will have a strong computational background and experience in using statistical genetics approaches to analyze whole exome/genome sequence data in both clinical genetic studies and large-scale population studies, such as the UK Biobank Study.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing projects utilizing human genetics data
  • Providing analytical expertise in statistical genetics
  • Collaborating with research groups to integrate genomics data

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in genetic epidemiology, statistical genetics, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of independent research and a passion for advancing our understanding of human genetics.

This is a fixed-term Senior Research Associate position with funding available until. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check), a health assessment, and a security check.
