The role of a GCSE Persian Examiner involves evaluating candidates' submissions in line with established marking criteria, while strictly following examination protocols and recognition standards. Most assessments will be conducted online using ePEN, allowing for remote marking. However, some subjects may still require traditional paper-based marking methods. A comprehensive understanding of the subject matter is essential for effectively applying the marking guidelines. Each examiner will be assigned a specific number of scripts to evaluate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and consistent marking to uphold quality standards.
  • Provide sample evaluations to your Team Leader at scheduled intervals.
  • Adhere to established timelines for marking tasks.
  • Complete all necessary administrative duties as outlined.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Applicants must be qualified teachers, with credentials recognized in the UK or internationally.
  • A minimum of 5 months of part-time teaching experience in the relevant subject within the last decade is necessary, with this experience obtained in the UK.
  • We will also consider candidates with assessment experience from a recognized UK examination board within the last 5 years, even if they lack teaching experience.

Essential Competencies:

  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • In-depth subject knowledge to accurately apply the marking criteria.

Additional Information:

  • The marking phase typically occurs during the examination period.
  • Training for examiners will be provided prior to the marking period.
