Key Role in Amazon UK Services Ltd.

As a critical member of Amazon UK Services Ltd.'s Operations Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of our operations. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our customers, and we are seeking a skilled Operations Manager to lead our teams to achieve excellence in safety, quality, and productivity.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of Area Managers, driving operational performance on shift, analyzing data to enhance efficiency, collaborating with support teams, and implementing initiatives to boost operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of Area Managers, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to excel in their roles.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead operational teams and improve site performance by analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze shift performance and implement actions to enhance operational efficiency, reducing waste and improving productivity.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security teams to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to operational management.
  • Initiative Development: Design and execute initiatives to enhance operational performance, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Proven experience in people and stakeholder management, with a strong track record of driving operational excellence and improving business performance.
  • Skills: Proficiency in verbal and written English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Business Acumen: Experience utilizing data for business decisions, with a strong understanding of production and supply chain management.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Lean and Six Sigma: Experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, with a strong understanding of process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Logistics Expertise: Experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a strong understanding of transportation and inventory management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office suite, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
