About the Role
The Scouts Association is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join its team as a Safe Scouting Development Officer. This is a fixed-term contract until January 2026, and the successful candidate will be responsible for driving forward the delivery of the department's continuous development plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Project manage and drive delivery of the department's continuous development plan, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and welfare for young people in Scouts.
- Engage with Scout volunteers, HQ colleagues, and external agencies to gain insights into the service delivered, develop and communicate key updates, and improve the service provided.
- Analyze data to identify trends in safeguarding concerns, inform senior management, and Committees.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to plan, work at pace, undertake assigned tasks within deadlines, and balance priorities.
- Able to work within a team and contribute to a collaborative and supportive environment.
