Ward: Acute Speech & Language Therapy

Pay Rates: £25.60 Per Hour

Shift Patterns: 5 hours per week on a weekday (flexible on day)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust. As a key member of our voice service, you will be responsible for managing an outpatient waiting list and voice caseload, coordinating appointments and therapy plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to a team of therapists responsible for the care of voice and/or upper airways patients under the care of an ENT Consultant.
  • Act as lead clinician for the voice service, ensuring equitable access to SLT across three hospital sites.
  • Work with patients on the voice caseload as a highly specialist clinician.
  • Contribute to service delivery and development, aiming to provide a streamlined, evidence-based service.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent leadership and clinical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should have a strong understanding of voice and upper airways care, as well as experience in managing outpatient waiting lists and caseloads.
