Job Title: Clinical Lead for Speech and Language Therapy

We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Lead for Speech and Language Therapy to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide clinical and professional leadership for Speech and Language Therapy services across the trust, working closely with the Departmental 8b SLT and Dietetics Manager to ensure safe and effective services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide trust-wide professional and clinical leadership for Speech and Language Therapy
  • Develop and implement trust policies and clinical guidelines for Speech and Language Therapy services
  • Ensure safe and effective Speech and Language Therapy services across sites
  • Provide clinical and professional guidance on Speech and Language Therapy issues

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualifications
  • Recognised management/leadership/coaching qualification
  • Significant post-graduation experience in the NHS
  • Experience of teaching students and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to assess individuals with complex medical problems and plan their SLT care
  • Ability to make decisions regarding change of practice based on clinical evidence
