Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Social Care and Education

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Secondary PRU in Westminster. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and well-being of 11- to 16-year-olds with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

About the Role:

The PRU aims to provide pupils with the tools and resources they need to make a positive transition into mainstream schools or work. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with specialist teachers, learning assistants, and pastoral mentors to deliver a broad and balanced personalized curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the education and well-being of pupils with social, emotional, and mental health challenges
  • Work closely with specialist teachers and learning assistants to deliver a personalized curriculum
  • Assist with the development of literacy skills, personal development, and vocational courses
  • Collaborate with pastoral mentors to provide support and guidance to pupils
Requirements:
  • Passion for making a positive impact on individuals' lives
  • Studying social work or teaching and need hands-on experience
  • Genuine desire to understand and address unique challenges faced by individuals
  • Collaborative and empathetic approach
