Valneva is a specialized vaccine organization focused on the development, production, and commercialization of preventive vaccines for infectious diseases.

The Manager of Internal Control & SOX Compliance is tasked with establishing a robust internal control framework by evaluating risks, creating controls and procedures, ensuring their execution, and facilitating compliance oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Internal Control & SOX Compliance in overseeing the SOX processes
  • Prepare and distribute reports summarizing findings and offering suggestions for enhancements
  • Lead internal control assessments throughout the organization
  • Guide departments in articulating their processes comprehensively
  • Design, implement, evaluate, and monitor the internal control structure
  • Evaluate initiatives aimed at protecting organizational assets
  • Pursue standardization and automation in managing internal controls
  • Coordinate and support walkthrough schedules for internal control audits
  • Examine deficiencies and assist the Director of Internal Control & SOX Compliance
  • Create policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls
  • Provide comprehensive reporting on the internal control structure and identified deficiencies
  • Collaborate with business and process leaders to implement corrective actions
  • Engage actively with internal and external auditors to address risk resolutions
  • Advise on employee training and procedural adjustments as necessary
  • Develop and deliver effective training sessions and prepare related informational materials on internal control

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a multinational corporation or with a Big 4 audit firm
  • Master's degree in accounting, finance, or economics
  • Extensive knowledge of internal control frameworks, particularly SOX
