Job Title: DCS/Control System Engineer

At Uniper, we are seeking a highly skilled DCS/Control System Engineer to join our team at the Enfield site. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the reliable operation, maintenance, and improvement of our high-merit power station's ABB Distributed Control System (DCS).

About the Role

  • Proactively maintain and support the site DCS infrastructure, ensuring optimal availability and performance.
  • Implement and manage SIL and Cybersecurity procedures to ensure the integrity of our control systems.
  • Coach and develop technicians and other team members in DCS engineering best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering and operations teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Manage budgets and contracts, forecasting and tracking progress and quality of work.
  • Support re-commissioning activities and return to service of units post-outage.

About You

  • Familiarity with ABB AC160, AC450, and 800xa systems.
  • Hold an HNC or engineering craft-based qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline, with relevant industrial experience.
  • Good working knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation and standards.
