About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DCS/Control System Engineer to join our team at Uniper. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting the reliable operation, maintenance, and improvement of our high-merit power station.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively maintain and support the site DCS infrastructure, ensuring optimal availability and performance.
  • Manage and implement SIL and Cybersecurity procedures to ensure the integrity of our systems.
  • Coach and develop technicians and other team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in DCS engineering.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve business objectives, including 24/7 call-out and remote support.
  • Design, implement, and commission plant improvements that require modification of the DCS system, its code, or process parameters.
  • Coordinate and support re-commissioning activities and return to service of units post-outage.
  • Manage budgets and contracts, forecasting, tracking, and monitoring progress and quality of work.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with ABB AC160, AC450, and 800xa systems.
  • HNC or engineering craft-based qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline, with relevant industrial experience.
  • Good working knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation and standards.
