Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Systems Technician to join our dynamic team at E3 Recruitment. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £50,000 annually, with additional overtime compensation at 1.5 times the standard rate. The position is initially a fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs.

Role Location:
This is a field-based position, requiring travel across the UK. All travel expenses will be reimbursed, and necessary tools and training will be provided.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in addressing the evolving safety requirements for public transport vehicles, specifically buses and coaches. This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to engage in a challenging and multifaceted role that encompasses both mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the Electrical Systems Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting surveys and installing electrical systems in buses and coaches.
  • Traveling to various customer locations to perform installation assessments.
  • Completing necessary documentation related to installation surveys.
  • Executing initial installations in accordance with manufacturer specifications, ensuring all electrical connections are made correctly.
  • Testing and calibrating equipment to ensure optimal functionality (comprehensive training will be provided).
  • Working efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong commitment to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Basic IT proficiency and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A valid UK driving license.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to the evolving needs of the business.
  • A conscientious and diligent work ethic, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
