Facilities Maintenance Technician

Salary: £35,000 - £37,000

Employment Type: Permanent & Static

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

1. Managing domestic hot and cold-water service and sanitation systems.
2. Conducting scheduled maintenance on Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, including gas boilers.
3. Performing both planned and reactive maintenance and testing on gas distribution systems and commercial appliances.
4. Executing maintenance tasks on circulation pump sets, motorized valves, and pressurization units.
5. Overseeing the maintenance and repair of mechanical drive systems, including smoke extraction systems.
6. Conducting maintenance, repairs, and testing of fire safety equipment, specifically sprinkler systems.
7. Documenting maintenance and repair activities using a Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

- A minimum of NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing.
- City and Guilds certification in Water Regulations & Unvented Hot Water Systems (3345).
- Knowledge of safety and appliance regulations.
- Experience in the commercial or industrial sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and the ability to perform under pressure.
- A proactive approach to becoming a key team member while managing your own workload effectively.

It is essential to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently.
