LEEDS CITY COUNCIL - JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose:
To deliver an effective and efficient lifeguard service in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
To perform a variety of tasks to support the provision of sports and leisure activities while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.
Responsibilities:
Administer First Aid as required, in line with your qualifications, and report incidents as per established procedures. Perform all duties in compliance with current health and safety regulations and operational protocols. Carry out general cleaning duties according to the cleaning schedules, ensuring compliance with safety practices. Safely set up and dismantle equipment as per the operational program. Contribute to the overall performance of the facility, ensuring a customer-centric service. Supervise children's activities and events, ensuring adherence to child protection policies. Promote and support Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety. Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the supervisor.Progression Criteria:
Supervise swimming pool activities, identifying hazards and taking appropriate actions in line with operational procedures. Maintain National Pool Lifeguard qualification by attending required training sessions. The duties outlined are not exhaustive and may include additional responsibilities as necessary.Qualifications To hold and maintain the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification as a condition of employment.
