About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced technical leader to join our Cross Boundary Team as a Senior Technical Lead. This is a unique opportunity to drive strategy and innovation, leading on the application development and coordination of technical teams to create and maintain products and services for the Department of Work & Pensions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers, providing experience, advice, and guidance to a wider team.
  • Experience of getting solutions through technical governance, in particular architectural design approval, and understanding how technical governance works within wider governance.
  • Assure corporate services by understanding key risks and mitigation through assurance mechanisms.
  • Ensure solutions meet standards of practice and appropriate governance.
Requirements
  • Experience of anticipating and exploiting opportunities, suggesting and reviewing new technologies to ensure they are fit for purpose and utilised in the best way possible.
  • Experience of leading a team of engineers, providing experience, advice, and guidance to a wider team.
  • Experience of getting solutions through technical governance, in particular architectural design approval, and understanding how technical governance works within wider governance.
  • Experience of assuring corporate services by understanding key risks and mitigation through assurance mechanisms.
  • Experience of ensuring solutions meet standards of practice and appropriate governance.
