The National Residential Landlords Association stands as the premier membership organization for private residential landlords in the UK, providing essential support and representation for over 100,000 members. Formed from the merger of the RLA and NLA in April 2020, the NRLA plays a crucial role in the sector.
Our members encompass a diverse range of landlords, from those managing extensive property portfolios to individuals renting out single flats. Regardless of their scale, landlords encounter similar regulatory and legal challenges, with over 150 pieces of legislation imposing numerous obligations within the private residential lettings sector.
In September 2023, the NRLA expanded its services by acquiring Safe2, a company specializing in comprehensive property safety certification. This acquisition enables us to offer landlords a streamlined compliance service, ensuring that gas, electrical safety, and energy performance certificates are consistently up to date.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is £28,000 - £30,000 per annum. Our team members typically enjoy a flexible work arrangement, with the option to work from home for up to four days a week.

Key Responsibilities
Event Planning and Execution
- Assist in organizing large-scale events, including the Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony, overseeing all operational aspects from conception to execution.
- Lead the management of a variety of NRLA events, such as webinars and regional gatherings.
- Oversee the daily operations of assigned events, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
- Identify and secure speakers for events, providing necessary briefings and support.
- Collaborate with venues to ensure all NRLA requirements are met, including catering and health and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with the Head of Events & Awards and other departments to manage pre-event materials and communications.
- Work with the Policy team to develop engaging event agendas.
- Support the Commercial team in promoting exhibition opportunities at events.
- Collaborate with the Innovation team to finalize agenda items for each event.
- Ensure effective marketing of events, crafting compelling content for invitations and online listings.
- Provide detailed reports on event performance metrics, contributing to post-event evaluations.
- Support regional administrators in managing a small portfolio of localized networks and events.
General Duties
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the NRLA's Event Strategy and its impact on event delivery.
- Collaborate with the regional events team on various projects, sharing insights and providing assistance as needed.
- Prepare regular financial and event-related reports.
- Attend and assist at events across the UK as required.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in event management within a business context.
- Proven track record in supporting and executing complex events.
- Familiarity with CRM or Customer Service Systems.
- Experience in budget management and negotiation.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
