As a Cardiology Patient Pathway Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing the patient journey within the cardiology department. Candidate Profile
Education and Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse (Adult) qualification with a valid NMC PIN
- Completion or progression towards a nursing degree
- Postgraduate qualification in cardiology or high dependency care
- Current Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification
Desirable Qualifications
- Completion of the ALERT course
- Qualification as a Practice Supervisor/Assessor or in mentorship
Knowledge and Experience
Essential Experience
- Experience in cardiology nursing
- Background in coronary care or high dependency/critical care
- Proficiency in basic ECG and cardiac monitoring interpretation
Desirable Experience
- Experience in caring for patients before and after cardiac procedures
Skills, Abilities, and Attributes

- Proven ability to take charge of a ward
- Self-motivated with the capability to lead a team of junior staff
- Knowledge and experience in safe discharge planning
