Job Title: Senior Children's Support Worker

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment that fosters growth, independence, and personal development.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support and care to young people, including key working and daily activities.
  • Collaborate with young people, their families, social workers, and other organizations to ensure comprehensive support and care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to support young people's transition to adulthood and greater independence.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all.
  • Conduct administrative tasks and record-keeping associated with key working responsibilities and daily operations.
  • Empower young people to take ownership of their lives, making informed decisions and taking responsibility for their actions.
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and report incidents effectively.
  • Meet the daily needs of young people, including personal care and daily activities.
Household Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to maintaining the household, including practical activities and upkeep.
  • Care for the fabric, equipment, and overall environment of the establishment.
  • Manage allocated funds for specific purposes.
  • Report repairs and ensure necessary actions are taken.
Personal Development:
  • Act as a positive role model and guide for young people, setting principles and examples.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and develop skills, knowledge, and experience through regular supervision and training.
  • Report any malpractice or concerns to a line manager or designated person.
Additional Duties:
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, as required.
  • Be prepared to work at other properties as directed by management.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with children/young people in an Ofsted environment.
  • Level 3 CYPW or above.
  • Enhanced DBS Check and on the update service.
  • Ability to drive.
  • Smart and agile to handle daily needs and activities of young people.
