About the Role

Stafford Health & Wellbeing is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead our team and drive the success of our GP practice.

Main Responsibilities

As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing business development plans to drive the practice's aims and objectives
  • Monitoring and evaluating team performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing positive change
  • Ensuring effective communication within the practice and with external agencies
  • Managing business continuity and disaster recovery procedures
  • Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, and action points
  • Developing and maintaining practice protocols and administrative procedures
  • Recruiting, retaining, and managing staff, providing HR support and guidance
  • Overseeing staff payroll, pensions, and annual leave systems
  • Implementing effective staff absence monitoring, back to work interviews, and staff support procedures
  • Developing and implementing staff appraisal, personal development plans, and monitoring systems
  • Supporting and mentoring staff to maximize morale and efficiency
  • Resolving disputes and grievances, and ensuring up-to-date HR documentation and systems
  • Liaising with partners on staff development and strategic oversight of practice finances

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of working in a team and autonomously
  • Ability to adopt a solutions-focused approach
  • GCSE standard or equivalent in English, with evidence of continuing professional development
  • Excellent keyboard skills and experience of using Microsoft Office
