Daily Responsibilities:
As part of the support team, you will primarily handle 2nd line support tasks for both internal and external clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Learning about the company’s business and technical applications.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements for system changes.
  • Developing and maintaining Unix Shell scripts.
  • Integrating various internal and external systems.
  • Generating reports on logistics systems and documenting changes according to company standards.

Essential Skills:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A degree in IT with a minimum of 2:1.
  • An understanding of databases, particularly Oracle or SQL.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux and some experience in Shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of logistics systems, with some background in systems analysis and application support.
  • Experience with report writing tools such as iReports or Jaspersoft Studio.
  • Strong communication skills, ideally with experience in a customer-facing technical support environment.
  • A valid UK Driver's license for occasional site visits.

Work Environment:
This position is fully onsite, requiring your presence at the office five days a week. The company offers a competitive salary in the range of £24k - £26k, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
