As a Gas Analyst, you will be an integral part of a diverse international team dedicated to challenging traditional concepts and exploring new methodologies in energy trading.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary focus will be on gas market analysis and the formulation of trading strategies to bolster the gas trading operations. Specific duties include:
  • Collaborating with gas analysts, data engineers, and traders to enhance EDFT's proprietary gas market models, ensuring a thorough understanding of both European and global gas dynamics.
  • Generating trading concepts based on in-depth analysis of market fundamentals and data.
  • Upholding a high standard of quantitative analysis and continuously verifying the precision of analytical outputs.
  • Creating tools to track market trends and implied gas balances effectively.
  • Communicating insights and findings clearly to gas traders, analysts, and management.
  • Adapting to evolving market conditions and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a gas analytics position.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and quantitative methodologies.
Technical Skills

Ideal candidates will have:
  • An advanced degree in engineering, sciences, mathematics, finance, or economics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Expertise in Python for data analysis, with familiarity in Excel and SQL being advantageous.
