Job Title: General Practice Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Practice Nurse to join our team at Tower Hamlets GP Care Group. As a General Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Job Summary

As a General Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for providing holistic, person-centred care to patients in a community-based setting. You will work closely with a multi-professional team to deliver high-quality care and support patients with complex and long-term conditions. You will also be involved in health promotion, vaccinations, and screening programs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide travel advice and vaccinate patients as needed
  • Assess and care for patients with uncomplicated wounds, including removal of sutures and clips
  • Support and advise patients on reproductive and sexual health
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and healthcare teams
  • Participate in practice audit and research projects
Requirements
  • Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing theory and best practice
  • Knowledge of primary health care and General Practice
  • Understanding of equality & diversity and how to apply it
  • Demonstrates an empathetic and caring approach to patients and relatives
