With You's Young Persons services are dedicated to assisting young individuals who may be facing challenges related to substance use or seeking guidance on supporting someone in need.

Our services span various locations, providing essential support for both drug and alcohol issues, as well as mental health guidance. While we offer drop-in services, much of our work is integrated within local communities.

Candidate Profile

Your role will involve guiding a team dedicated to supporting individuals grappling with substance misuse. With empathy and understanding, you will collaborate to assist clients in their journey towards recovery.

Role Responsibilities

As a Team Leader, your success will hinge on your ability to manage and develop your team effectively.

This position will provide essential support to our Young Persons Workers. The role will require travel, and access to a vehicle is necessary.

Essential Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should:

hold an ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent, or be committed to obtaining this within 18 months have experience in health, social care, or criminal justice settings, and collaborate with various agencies demonstrate a proven track record in team management and development understand the challenges faced by individuals dealing with substance misuse or mental health issues be knowledgeable about harm reduction strategies during treatment comprehend health and safety protocols in a healthcare environment effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple demands build and maintain productive relationships with colleagues and external partners exhibit resilience and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting be results-driven and capable of data analysis possess strong written and verbal communication skills be proficient in IT and digital media work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating a supportive approach

You will also need to fulfill our safeguarding requirements, including a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

substance misuse support mental health services educational environments

Budget management experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
