Our client, a prominent brokerage and market-making firm, is in search of a Senior Technical Project Manager to enhance their expanding operations.

With a legacy of 50 years in the industry, this London-based brokerage has established a global footprint and is now looking to bolster its team due to significant growth.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in software development and is eager to transition into a more strategic project management role while retaining a hands-on approach.

In this capacity, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from gathering requirements to drafting specifications and managing change releases.

The Senior Technical Project Manager will also be tasked with creating test plans and collaborating with relevant business units to facilitate user acceptance testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing and Projects, you will be accountable for delivering technology initiatives on schedule and within budget.
  • Your role encompasses all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, specification drafting, and change management. You will also develop test plans and coordinate user acceptance testing with business departments.
  • You will maintain business relationships with technology partners and identify suitable software developers based on business needs.
  • On a daily basis, you will work closely with existing technology partners to ensure the seamless operation of core business applications.
  • You will manage source code repositories, ensuring that technology intellectual property is comprehensive, current, and adheres to internal standards.
  • This position is highly hands-on, requiring direct technical involvement in project execution.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • A graduate or equivalent qualification, with a background in technology and a formal project management certification.
  • Technical expertise in .NET stack, C#, Python, React, Angular, and SQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub projects, GitHub Enterprise Server, Azure DevOps, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), and API gateways.
  • A proven history of managing and delivering projects, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Exceptional communication skills complemented by strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
