The Senior Finance Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the key financial and commercial interests of the Consumer Performance Unit. As a trusted advisor, you'll provide insightful and effective support to the Senior Finance Business Partner, delivering value-adding reporting and management information, trend analysis, and robust commercial modelling to inform investment proposals and drive business growth.

You'll develop a deep understanding of the relevant commercial drivers and have a passion for consistently improving and delivering a great customer experience. The role requires expert advice in dealing with complex and high-risk issues across various situations. P&L ownership for key business areas includes senior stakeholder management, operational and strategic guidance, business case financial modelling, and a strong focus on commerciality.

You'll help us make health happen by:

  • P&L ownership of key business areas guided by a detailed understanding of operational and strategic objectives and a focus on commerciality.
  • Owning the ongoing maintenance, development, and continual improvement of weekly and monthly segment performance reporting.
  • Ensuring the quality and analysis of key sales and financial data are maintained to the highest standard to enable fact-based, insightful decision making.
  • Identifying and addressing risks to achievement of business targets and escalating where necessary.
  • Supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner in providing financial modelling and business evaluation of new products and propositions, improving commercial understanding on price, mix, and value.

Key Skills needed for this role:

  • Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant or equivalent experience in a finance environment.
  • High energy problem solver with drive and ability to work under pressure.
  • Analytical and numerate.
  • Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to champion continuous improvement and customer focus.
