CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled and dedicated Shift Engineer to join our team in maintaining a prestigious commercial building in London.

As a Shift Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of all building services. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and system monitoring.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on lighting systems, emergency lighting, air conditioning units, chillers, and water treatment equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor building management systems (BMS) to ensure optimal performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service calls from clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and spare parts used.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Shift Engineer or similar role in a commercial building environment.
  • C&G Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or NVQ Level 2 in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (for electrically qualified candidates).
  • Strong understanding of building services systems and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
