Job Description

Shift F5 - Technology Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our AWS-based infrastructure and contributing to a cutting-edge project at the intersection of life sciences and fintech.

The Role

We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our platform team and take on the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the platform team to bolster environment stability and ensure seamless deployment of applications.
  • Oversee the migration from ECS/Fargate to EKS and guide engineers in crafting secure, reusable Dockerfiles for Python/FastAPI and other environments.
  • Troubleshoot container deployment issues and refine incident response procedures to minimize downtime.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated experience as a DevOps or UNIX Systems Engineer.
  • Proven proficiency in container orchestration (ECS, EKS, AKS, GKE, Serverless).
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes principles and container runtime environments (Podman, Docker).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with containerized logging solutions and programming skills (Python preferred, others considered).
  • Advanced UNIX knowledge and familiarity with container monitoring software.
  • Track record in VPC creation and management.
