Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Amnis Education. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching staff in working with young people and those with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, using specialist skills and training to promote positive behaviour management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Personal Behaviour Plans (PBPs).
  • Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom and wider school community.
  • Support colleagues in managing pupils' behaviour, both in the classroom and around the school.
Requirements:
  • GCSE A* - C in Mathematics and English, or equivalent.
  • Full working knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.
  • Awareness of themes underlying Keeping children Safe in Education.
  • Awareness of pupils' diverse needs, backgrounds and aptitudes.
  • Working knowledge of a range of additional needs and strategies to overcome barriers to learning.
