About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Childcare Assistant to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Childcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our nursery settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities and play-based learning experiences that meet the needs of children aged 0-5 years.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless care and education for children.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of resources and activities that promote children's learning and development.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
Requirements
  • Level 2/3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
  • Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
  • General IT skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills to Level 2.
  • Relevant experience in a childcare setting, preferably in EYFS and curriculum planning.
  • Knowledge of child development and Health & Hygiene.
  • Safeguarding Certificate.
