About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Relief Worker to join our team at Harbour Place in Workington. As a Relief Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, customer-oriented support to our residents, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of personalized support and move-on plans for our residents.
  • Support the scheme manager and support team in maintaining a safe and appropriate environment for our residents.
  • Deliver a range of group work sessions and contribute to the promotion of customer involvement and consultation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to identify and promote opportunities for employment, education, and training for our residents.
  • Signpost residents to appropriate external support services, such as food banks and community resources.
  • Support residents to be 'tenancy ready' and enable successful move-on.
  • Support residents to be financially independent through budgeting plans and maximizing income.
  • Support and monitor residents' healthcare needs, ensuring appropriate contact with healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • An understanding of the barriers faced by vulnerable and diverse customer groups and individuals with complex needs.
  • Experience of working in a team and communicating positively with other people.
  • Experience of being able to organize tasks and plan accordingly while dealing with people.
  • A team player with a caring, empathetic, flexible, and resilient attitude.
  • Able to use initiative and have confidence to make decisions.
  • Basic administrative and IT skills to maintain records.
